Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Compass Canada. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality food products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare, pre-cook, and cook food products as directed, ensuring that all dishes meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Inventory Management: Label, date, store, and rotate food and beverage products in appropriate storage areas, ensuring that all products are properly managed and maintained.
  • Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with all operational departments, including kitchen staff, management, and other teams, to ensure seamless execution of kitchen operations.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Clean kitchen equipment after use, according to health and safety policies and procedures, and report any needed maintenance or faulty equipment to the supervisor immediately.
Requirements
  • Culinary Experience: Proven cooking experience, including experience as a restaurant cook or prep cook, with a strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
  • Certifications: Food Safety Certification required, and a certificate from a recognized cooking school.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
