We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Executive Director to lead our Indigenous Health Services team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight to our Indigenous Health programs and services.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement the Indigenous Health Services Plan for Fraser Health, in collaboration with medical leadership and other stakeholders.
- Provide leadership to the senior executive team to improve and embed Indigenous Health programs and service delivery systems across Fraser Health.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities and organizations to foster effective communication and partnerships with healthcare leaders.
- Liaise with executive leadership from external service delivery agencies, other health authorities, and government agencies to discuss new initiatives, trends, and policy directions.
- Oversee the development and implementation of the annual Fraser Health Indigenous Health priorities, consistent with the First Nations Health Plan, the Tri-partite Health Plan, and the Fraser Health strategic plan.
- Participate in and represent Fraser Health on Ministry of Health planning and policy development for Indigenous Health services.
- Ensure the integration and coordination of programs and services to create a comprehensive service delivery system designed to meet the Indigenous health status and healthcare needs of the population within Fraser Health.
- Master's Degree in a field related to healthcare management, supplemented by a minimum ten years' experience in progressively senior leadership roles.
- Experience in the provision of community-based healthcare delivery systems and experience interacting with Indigenous people and Indigenous leadership.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Indigenous healthcare needs, services, and issues, as well as knowledge of the culture, protocol, and traditions of Indigenous people.
- Expert knowledge and understanding of community-based services, such as community health centers, Indigenous service providers, and traditional healers.
- Proven presentation skills within a senior leadership capacity.
- Demonstrates the leadership practices of the Fraser Health Leadership Framework of Clear, Caring, and Courageous.
- Creates the conditions for people to succeed.
