Role Summary:

GSL Education is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Academic Leader of Historical Studies to join our team. As a key member of our educational community, you will be responsible for delivering innovative and engaging History lessons, upholding high standards of teaching and learning, and setting high expectations to motivate, support, and challenge students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities
  • Collaborate with the History team to drive continuous improvement and excellence in teaching and learning
  • Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of curriculum policies and procedures
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and subject knowledge

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in History or a related field
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality History lessons and achieving excellent student outcomes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum policies and procedures
