Job Summary

Brandt is seeking a skilled Resident Field Service Technician to join our team in PEI, reporting to the Moncton Construction & Forestry branch.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and diagnose the working condition of heavy equipment, assemble/disassemble, order parts, and repair in a shop environment.
  • Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Utilize related instruments, hand and power tools, secondary equipment, and computer systems.
  • Accurately document work orders with machine information, actions taken, and time taken.
  • Assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely and to accepted standards.
  • Use computer applications and information systems to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis.
  • Locate and order parts from parts personnel.
  • Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required.
Requirements
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with customers, the service team, and branch personnel.
  • Meet physical demands, including climbing, overhead lifting/postures, prolonged standing, sensory processing, and fine motor control.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous mechanical experience in a heavy equipment environment.
  • Certified Journeyperson in the Heavy Duty Equipment technician trade or equivalent designated trade.
  • Commitment to customer service and service excellence.
