Job Summary:

At PARAM INDUSTRIES, we are seeking a skilled Industrial Sewing Machine Technician to join our team. As an Industrial Sewing Machine Technician, you will be responsible for assembling, maintaining, and repairing mechanical equipment, including sewing machines. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble mechanical equipment, including sewing machines, to meet production requirements.
  • Maintain and repair sewing machines, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Coach and instruct apprentices in the operation and maintenance of sewing machines.
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements.
  • Construct foundations for machinery and fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up.
  • Estimate costs and materials for equipment repairs and maintenance.
  • Perform routine maintenance work on machinery, including lubrication and cleaning.
  • Operate machining tools to fabricate parts and program programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
  • Install machinery and equipment, and commission systems and components.
  • Supervise other workers and ensure they are following safety protocols.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in mechanical equipment assembly and repair.
  • Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • English language proficiency.

Working Conditions:

  • 37.5 hours per week.
  • Permanent work term.
