We are seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapist to join our team at Fraser Health. As a Physiotherapist, Home Health Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality physiotherapy services to clients in their homes, promoting functional independence and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive physiotherapy assessments and develop individualized care plans to address clients' needs and goals.
- Provide evidence-based physiotherapy interventions, including therapeutic exercise programs, to promote strength, range of movement, circulation, and functional activity.
- Collaborate with clients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to formulate client-centered goals and develop effective care plans.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of direct clinical care and education provided to clients and their caregivers, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Role-model and demonstrate direct client care skills to staff and students, ensuring compliance with current standards of practice.
- Participate in quality improvement and risk management activities, evaluating clinical practice and generating recommendations for alternative approaches.
- Maintain knowledge of current developments in evidence-based physiotherapy and practice, and apply this knowledge to improve client care and outcomes.
- Graduation from an approved school of Physiotherapy.
- Two years' recent related clinical experience in a community, geriatric, or rehabilitation setting, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Current full registration with the College of Physical Therapists of BC and eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Physiotherapy.
- Valid BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for business-related purposes.
- Demonstrated knowledge of all physiotherapy regimes.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment.
- Demonstrated leadership and teaching skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-based environment.
- Ability to work effectively with others.
- Demonstrated knowledge of current developments in physiotherapy.
- Ability to operate related equipment, including applicable software applications.
