About the Role

RhynoCare is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Aide to join our team. As a Housekeeping Aide, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Disinfecting: Maintain a clean and safe environment by cleaning and disinfecting residents' rooms, offices, and common areas.
  • Housekeeping Tasks: Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, and polishing.
  • Laundry and Linen Management: Wash, dry, and fold residents' personal clothing and linens, and manage laundry supplies.
  • Waste Management: Empty garbage and recyclables, and maintain a clean and organized janitorial area.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain equipment, including wheelchairs and other mobility aids.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Communication: Communicate with the charge nurse regarding special care of linens or clothing, and report any issues or concerns.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, and previous experience working in housekeeping or a related field.
  • Skills and Abilities: Ability to read and understand instructions, physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Certifications and Training: Current Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) and willingness to participate in facility meetings and in-service education programs.
