Ambulance Paramedic Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Ambulance Paramedic Specialist to join our team at Health Careers in Sask. As an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), you will be responsible for responding to emergency and non-emergency calls, providing initial assessment, treatment, and transportation of patients.

About the Role:

This is a casual position that requires flexibility and adaptability. You will work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to think critically in high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities:

* Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls, assessing patients' conditions and providing appropriate treatment
* Transport patients to medical facilities, ensuring safe and comfortable travel
* Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop comprehensive care plans
* Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to regulatory requirements
* Stay up-to-date with industry developments, attending training sessions and workshops as needed

Requirements:

* Primary Care Paramedic diploma (PCP) or equivalent
* Registered EMT/PCP certification, valid Class 4 driver's license, and International Trauma Life Support Certificate (ITLS)
* Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS) and ability to obtain other required certifications
* Excellent communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills
* Ability to function effectively in high-stress situations, adapt to changing conditions, and work independently
