Job Overview

This Permanent Full-time position as a CT Technologist offers a unique opportunity to work in Diagnostic Imaging at one of our facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating CT scanners efficiently and professionally, organizing and performing computed tomography examinations, and providing high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate CT scanners safely and effectively, adhering to radiation protection guidelines and sterile techniques as required.
  • Position patients to obtain high-quality images while ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Perform clerical duties related to patient handling and communication.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide exceptional patient care.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Degree from an accredited School of Radiological Technology.
  • Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification.
  • Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure.
  • CAMRT CT courses or CT Imaging Certificate are considered assets.
  • Previous experience in CT imaging, IV administration, or willingness to be trained.
  • Strong mental, visual, and manual dexterity skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

This role requires call and shift work, including evenings, nights, and weekends, with a 75-hour biweekly schedule.
