**Job Description:**

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in addressing workload demands caused by team member absences and an influx of modernization projects. They will contribute to internal communication strategies, planning, and execution, ensuring alignment with our company's brand and organizational change initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support internal communications initiatives by planning, writing, and executing communication strategies.
  • Collaborate with the communications team to ensure timely and accurate dissemination of information.
  • Assist in maintaining and enhancing our company's brand in internal communications.
  • Provide expertise in Organizational Change Management (OCM) and apply the ADKAR framework as needed.
  • Create, review, and edit communication materials to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Utilize advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite for communication planning, development, and delivery.
  • Prepare and present samples of work to showcase communication capabilities.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Communications Specialist or in a similar role.
  • Familiarity with Organizational Change Management (OCM) principles, with experience applying the ADKAR framework.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in a corporate environment, preferably with modernization projects.
  • Portfolio or samples of work demonstrating writing and communication skills.
  • Expertise in planning and executing internal communications strategies.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and learn organizational brand guidelines.
  • Willingness to work hybrid in Edmonton, AB.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience in external communications or marketing material development.
  • Familiarity with modernization or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Training or certifications in OCM or communication-related fields.
