Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Household Assistant to join our team at Jane Butigan. As a Household Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our home.

Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning Duties: Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture, make beds and change sheets, distribute clean towels and toiletries, clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances, pick up debris and empty trash containers, launder clothing and household linens, mend clothing and linens.
  • Light Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties as needed.
  • Errands: Shop for food and household supplies.
  • Windows and Walls: Wash windows, walls and ceilings.
Requirements:
  • Education: No degree, certificate or diploma required.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to work independently, work under pressure, repetitive tasks, physically demanding, bending, crouching, kneeling, combination of sitting, standing, walking, sitting, standing for extended periods, walking.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Punctuality, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, excellent written communication, patience, honesty.
