Job Title: Land Surveying Team Lead

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Land Surveying Team Lead to join our team at Challenger Geomatics. As a key member of our survey crew, you will be responsible for collecting data in the field and working closely with our experienced project managers on a variety of survey assignments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Completes field surveys and works closely with the Project Manager to ensure all client objectives are met.
  • Provides necessary documentation to office staff including any field notes, computations, and other survey data.
  • Communicates effectively with team members and ensures tasks are completed on time.
  • Performs all health and safety duties as identified in the company's safety procedures.
  • Skilled with the use of survey equipment (GPS/GNSS Rovers, Total Stations, Locators, etc.) and ensures all company equipment and vehicles are properly operated and maintained.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Geomatics or related discipline as well as previous survey experience.
  • Experience in the energy sector or construction is an asset.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license.
  • Any valid safety certificates an asset (i.e. H2S, First Aid, CSTS, Wildlife Awareness).
  • Physical fitness - party chief's work outside in tough conditions, often carrying equipment long distances.
