Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and physically capable Produce Clerk to join our team at Country Produce (Orillia) Ltd. in the produce department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient stocking and display of produce products, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Stocking and Display: Receive and unpack produce shipments, count and weigh items, and stock shelves and display areas to ensure a visually appealing and well-stocked produce department.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with finding products, answering questions, and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized work environment by sweeping, mopping floors, and keeping stock clean and in order.
  • Weight Handling: Lift and move produce products weighing up to 23 kg (50 lbs) as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this position.
  • Experience: Experience in a similar role is an asset, but not required.
  • Physical Demands: This role requires standing for extended periods, repetitive tasks, and physical demands.
  • Language: English is the primary language spoken in this role.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position with a variable schedule of 34 to 42.5 hours per week. The ideal candidate will be a team player with excellent communication skills, a client-focused attitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
