Job Summary

Osler is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Food Services Assistant to support the firm's catering function. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the main kitchen and coffee serveries are maintained to firm standards, preparing trolleys with food and beverage orders, and assisting with special functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the main kitchen and coffee serveries to firm standards, including verifying coffee and dishwashing machines are operating properly, stocking necessary supplies, and cleaning sinks, refrigerators, microwaves, and countertops.
  • Ensure all boardrooms are kept clean and report any damages to boardrooms that require repair.
  • Prepare trolleys with food and beverage orders for boardroom meetings, set up all orders in the boardrooms, refresh beverages as needed, and clean up after every meeting.
  • Assist with the set-up of boardrooms for special functions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma and no previous work experience is required as on-the-job training is provided. Smart Serve certification is an asset. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, oral communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively time manage and multi-task.
