Highly Skilled Hair Stylist Wanted for Permanent Position

Established in Ontario, COPR is a reputable barbershop and hairstyling salon seeking a highly skilled hair stylist to join our team.

As a permanent position, this role requires 40 hours of work per week with at least 3-5 years of experience in the field.

We are looking for an individual who can advise clients on beauty care treatments, analyze hair and scalp condition, book appointments, cut and trim hair according to client's instructions or preferences, provide custom hair and scalp treatment, shampoo customers' hair, apply bleach, tints, dyes or rinses to colour, frost or streak hair, and apply hair extensions.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for supervising other hair stylists and staff, maintaining and ordering supplies, and performing receptionist duties as needed.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Advise clients on beauty care treatments
  • Analyze hair and scalp condition
  • Book appointments
  • Cut and trim hair according to client's instructions or preferences
  • Provide custom hair and scalp treatment
  • Shampoo customers' hair
  • Apply bleach, tints, dyes or rinses to colour, frost or streak hair
  • Apply hair extensions
  • Supervise other hair stylists and staff
  • Maintain and order supplies

In terms of supervision, we require 1 to 2 people to oversee the daily operations.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in various hair styling techniques, including blow drying, hair braiding, iron waving/curling, permanents, extensions, twisting, locking, relaxing, spiking, pin curls, and roller setting.

Additionally, they should have knowledge of various hair colouring techniques, such as bleach, dyes/tints, frosting, and streaking/highlights.

No degree, certificate or diploma is required for this position, but we do expect at least 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the field.

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
