About the Role

This position offers a competitive salary of approximately $83,000 per year, plus an additional Remote Retention Allowance of up to $3,000 annually. The ideal candidate will be required to travel within their community to support other homecare offices.

Job Description

The Personal Support Coordinator will supervise Health Care Aides and provide educational support, coaching, and guidance to ensure they deliver high-quality care. Key responsibilities include:

  • Evaluating care given according to HCA competencies
  • Reviewing charting related to client care
  • Modeling professional behavior in communication with HCAs
  • Fostering positive relationships with HCAs while adhering to professional boundaries
  • Resolving day-to-day issues brought forward by clients and staff
  • Referring complex or sensitive issues to the Charge LPN in a timely manner

In addition to these responsibilities, the successful candidate will participate in quality improvement initiatives, follow up on RLS submissions, and assist with emergency situations as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program
  • Active or eligible registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA)
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification
