A rewarding opportunity for a Communications Therapist to join our team at BC Children's Hospital and SunnyHill Health Centre in Vancouver, BC.
We are seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist II to provide assessment, diagnostic and intervention services to children using advanced level clinical skills and knowledge in the specified program area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in child development and rehabilitation, with expertise in communication disorders and swallowing difficulties. As a key member of our inter-professional team, you will work closely with healthcare professionals, families, and caregivers to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote optimal communication and quality of life for children and their families.
About the Role:
This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a high level of autonomy, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team. As a Communications Therapist, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership within the specified program/inter-professional team, speech and language pathology discipline, and in partnership with community services. You will also take leadership in program planning, identify, promote and lead program and discipline-specific development and planning strategies in collaboration with the Program Leadership to enhance system processes and resources for patients.
The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an approved academic program by the College of Speech and Hearing Professionals of British Columbia. Three years of recent experience in areas related to child development and rehabilitation are also required. Documented evidence of post-graduate education in the specified program area and documented learning related to professional development and leadership/personal development are essential. Additionally, registrant status with the College of Speech and Hearing Professionals of British Columbia is mandatory.

What We Offer:
We offer a competitive salary range of $110,000-$140,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and extended health coverage, as well as a pension plan. As a remote work-friendly employer, we welcome flexible work options to support our people (eligibility may vary, depending on position).
