Join Our Team as a Junior Process Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Process Engineer to join our team at Gyproc. As a Junior Process Engineer, you will play a key role in standardizing and documenting processes throughout our manufacturing facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in process improvement teams to analyze variations and identify losses.
  • Develop and maintain process flow charts for manufacturing activities.
  • Design and implement new process systems, revise existing processes, and develop projects that contribute to plant profitability.
  • Create work instructions for manufacturing activities.
  • Monitor program cost activity to achieve budget targets.
  • Identify and analyze inefficiencies in the manufacturing process to ensure early detection and resolution.
  • Assess processes for effectiveness and implement improvements.
  • Monitor modifications and upgrades, and troubleshoot existing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and provincial regulations.
Requirements:
  • Engineering degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a process engineer in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Experience of taking projects through launch and subsequent production.
  • Lean Manufacturing experience is an asset.
  • Proven ability to create and execute project plans that achieve targets.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to produce succinct reports and presentations.
  • Strong leadership abilities and organizational skills.
  • Quality Control background and problem-solving skills.
  • Sound technical background and logical reasoning.
  • Interest in developing technical skills through training.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities and task prioritization skills.
  • Conviction to improve personally and support continuous improvement.
