Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our Software Engineer team in Vancouver, BC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for testing all aspects of design, APIs, and infrastructure within the WD 2.0 cloud.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with developers and product team to understand testing requirements for new and existing software features.
  2. Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.
  3. Work with developers, data scientists, and the product team to understand, create, and execute data migration-related tasks and tests.
  4. Identify and perform risk analysis for complex quality issues.
  5. Build, monitor, and maintain data pipelines, processing jobs, and report results to stakeholders.
  6. Develop, execute, and maintain automated and manual test scripts for APIs and FrontEnd UI.
  7. Setup and configure CI/CD to support automated tests and existing and new testing environments.
  8. Evaluate both functional and non-functional requirements throughout the software development lifecycle.
  9. Identify gaps and risks in testing and provide additional coverage.
Requirements
  • 6+ years of relevant SaaS software application testing and automation experience.
  • 5+ years of Automated and Manual API and Webservice testing.
  • 3+ years of Automated and Manual UI testing.
  • 2+ years of performance and load testing.
  • Strong knowledge of one or more programming languages.
  • Familiarity with Security, Contract, UAT, Exploratory, and various non-functional testing.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Git.
  • Experience integrating and setting up CircleCI, Jenkins, Bamboo, or equivalent CI/CD.
  • Ability to quickly understand responsibilities of platform, database, API, caching layer, proxies, and other webservices in a system.
  • Familiarity with AWS Cloud, MSK, Kafka is an asset.
