Licensed Practical Nurse

At Lakeview Lodge Community, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide nursing care in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and resident plans of care.
- Utilize sound nursing practice principles to deliver excellent nursing and personal care in assigned home areas.
- Ensure the safekeeping and control of drugs and narcotics, and follow protocols on all assigned shifts.
- Create a comfortable and safe environment that promotes resident autonomy, independence, and individuality.
- Optimize each resident's potential to achieve or maintain maximum functional ability.
- Seek direction from the RN when resident needs exceed experience or scope of practice.
- Exercise sound nursing judgment by reporting any change in resident status in a timely manner to the Registered Nurse.
- Foster an atmosphere conducive to optimal care and effective functioning of assigned resident home areas through collaboration with other team members.
- Liaise with medical team members, nurse specialists, and consultants to support effective clinical care for all residents.
- Continually assess and improve your own nursing practice and learning needs.
- Diploma in Practical Nursing.
- Current registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses BC.
- Successful annual completion of RAI MDS certification as per Ministry of Health requirements for AIS.
- Current First Aid with CPR.
- All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check (applicable to Ontario applicants) and Criminal Records Check (applicable to British Columbia applicants).
