Job Title: Grounds Maintenance Worker

G.M.A. Catering LTD. is seeking a skilled Grounds Maintenance Worker to join our team. As a Grounds Maintenance Worker, you will be responsible for maintaining the grounds of our facilities, ensuring they are clean, safe, and visually appealing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Weed, prune, and trim trees and plants to maintain a neat and tidy appearance.
  • Cut grass and maintain lawns to ensure they are well-manicured.
  • Rake and collect refuse, removing litter and garbage from the grounds.
  • Cart and spread topsoil and other materials as needed.
  • Apply fertilizers to promote healthy plant growth.
  • Repair and maintain equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens to ensure they receive adequate care.
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment to perform tasks efficiently.
Requirements:
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this position.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field is preferred.
  • Criminal record check is required.
  • Participation in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees is an asset.
  • Participation in a government or community program or initiative that supports youth employment is an asset.
  • Participation in a government or community program or initiative that supports Veterans is an asset.
