Systems Engineer Naval Communication Systems

About Your Next Challenge as a Systems Engineer, Naval Communication Systems:
As a key member of our dynamic multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for assisting in the development of engineering designs, integration testing, and delivery of marine and naval communications systems. You will work closely with hardware, software, and systems engineering teams to drive the system design to a compliant solution.
What You Will Do:
- Conduct system engineering activities for bids, contracts, and products in the military and civilian markets for domestic and international customers.
- Create high-level conceptual designs, innovative, scalable, and adaptive solutions to complex systems.
- Develop and implement system test cases, analyze and evaluate test results, and prepare technical specifications for suppliers and subcontractors.
- Conduct industry engagement and trade studies to refine equipment specifications and develop optimal system solutions.
- Prepare equipment procurement specifications, develop test plans to verify and validate requirements, and conduct vendor evaluations.
- Derive and develop requirements for subsystem elements, develop preliminary and detailed designs for system and subsystem elements, and produce technical documentation.
- Support test, verification, and validation activities.
Required Skills and Experiences:
- Requires broad theoretical job knowledge.
- University degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or any other related discipline.
- Excellent technical and presentation skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Eligibility Criteria (Mandatory):
- Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO SECRET security clearance.
- Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
