**Job Overview**

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Cash Management Associate to join our team at Stantec Consulting International Ltd. As a Cash Management Associate, you will be responsible for managing cash flow, performing collections, and providing excellent customer service.

About the Job

This role involves working closely with our accounting team to identify opportunities for improvement in our cash management process. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve cash flow, reduce days outstanding, and increase customer satisfaction.

Your Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage cash flow by coordinating payment arrangements with debtors and ensuring timely payment.
  2. Perform collections on all defaulted accounts in accordance with corporate policies and procedures.
  3. Prepare and manage account correspondence including overdue, final and ad hoc notices.
  4. Field client inquiries on invoices and resolve issues using soft collection skills.
  5. Contact clients to resolve cash application issues, when required, and work with other Financial Services staff to communicate a resolution.
  6. Perform record retention responsibilities.
  7. Work with Stantec's Project Managers and Project Accountants to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  8. Verify initial client set up information or changes to ensure accurate billing details.
  9. Develop and implement appropriate collection strategies as necessary in conjunction with other stakeholders.
  10. Perform other similar and related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a cash management-related role(s), where success was demonstrated based on established metrics.
  • Understanding of accounting concepts and principles.
  • Ability to work independently with general supervision as well as work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with customers, vendors and employees throughout the organization.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Experience in an office environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office and ERP Software.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of administrative processes.
