Job Summary

Produits forestiers Résolu is seeking a highly skilled Forest Analyst to join our team in Thunder Bay, Ontario. As a key member of our forestry management team, you will be responsible for providing expert analysis and planning to support our sustainable forest management practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct advanced GIS analysis and modeling to inform forest management decisions
  • Develop and maintain forest estate models to optimize wood supply and forest management
  • Provide expert knowledge and guidance on forest modeling tools and techniques
  • Collaborate with our forestry team to develop and implement forest management plans
  • Conduct tactical optimization modeling to support annual harvest and wood flow planning
  • Prepare and review forest management plan documentation
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in forest management
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in forest management planning
  • Advanced degree in Forestry or related field
  • Expert knowledge of GIS and forest modeling tools
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
