We are seeking a highly skilled General medical practitioner to join our team at Pinnacle Medical Centres.

About the Role

This is a permanent position, working 40 hours per week. You will be required to work in an urban area, with a private practice setting.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine or optometry and at least 2 years of experience in the field. A Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC) and licensure by provincial or territorial authorities are also mandatory.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Collect medical information from patients, family members or other medical professionals
  • Examine patients' health condition to identify diseases and injuries
  • Help patients develop healthy habits, break old habits and reshape their approach to wellness
  • Order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures to determine the most appropriate medical treatment
  • Consult with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients' physical and mental health
  • Prescribe and administer medications and treatments
  • Perform and assist in routine surgery
  • Deliver babies and provide pre-natal and post-natal care
  • Advise patients on healthcare
  • Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases to government authorities
  • Be the patient advocate
  • Co-ordinate or manage primary patient care
  • Provide acute care management
  • Provide counselling and support to patients and their families on a wide range of health and lifestyle issues
Certifications, Licenses and Memberships
  • Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC)

  • Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination (MCCQE I and MCCQE II)

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $120,000 to $180,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience. Additionally, you can expect benefits such as maternity and parental leave, variable or compressed work weeks, free parking available, and team building opportunities.
