Paymentus leads the North American marketplace in electronic bill payment solutions. We're seeking a high-performing Full Stack Engineer to join our development team building SaaS Fintech solutions across various industries.


About the Role


We offer a competitive $120,000 - $150,000 per year salary, commensurate with experience and qualifications. You will contribute to a massively scalable data platform, built on top of a world-class enterprise platform, supporting thousands of clients and millions of transactions daily.


Job Description


You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment, working with talented developers from diverse backgrounds to continually learn and apply best practices to development. Your responsibilities will include gathering and clarifying requirements from the business team, planning, designing, and developing enhancements to the existing application.


Key Responsibilities



  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment
  • Work with talented developers from diverse backgrounds, continually learning, and applying best practices to development
  • Gather and clarify requirements from the business team, plan, design, and develop enhancements to the existing application
  • Apply good enterprise development practices, develop and execute comprehensive test suites to ensure high quality of deliverables
  • Extensively profile and deeply analyze product using performance and debugging tools

Required Skills and Qualifications


To succeed in this role, you should have:



  • An undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of OOP principles with 1-3+ years of experience with Java development or other object-oriented programming languages
  • Familiarity with HTTP protocol and RESTful APIs
  • Responsive web development experience using HTML5, CSS3 (LESS, SASS, etc)
  • Experience with server-side scalability and performance
  • Familiarity with information architecture structure and design
  • Experience in Agile/SCRUM methodologies for software development
  • 1-3+ years of commercial software development experience in Java
  • 1-3+ years experience with J2EE frameworks such as Springboot, Spring MVC
  • 1+ years database experience (Oracle 11g, PL/SQL, MongoDB)
  • A working understanding of relational database and NoSQL database concepts
