Pizzaiolo is seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for planning menus, estimating food requirements, and preparing complete meals or individual dishes and foods. Your attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be essential in ensuring the highest quality of food and service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Menu Planning: Develop and implement menus that meet the needs of our customers and align with our culinary vision.
  • Food Preparation: Prepare complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring that they are presented in a visually appealing manner.
  • Inventory Management: Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Staff Training: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide excellent service.
  • Quality Control: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure that they meet our high standards of cleanliness and quality.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

  • Attention to Detail: You must have a keen eye for detail and be able to maintain high standards of quality in your work.
  • Fast-Paced Environment: You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Repetitive Tasks: You must be able to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods without becoming fatigued.
  • Standing for Extended Periods: You must be able to stand for extended periods and move around the kitchen as needed.
  • Work Under Pressure: You must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a timely manner.

Support for Newcomers and Refugees:

  • Cultural Competency Training: You will provide cultural competency training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees.

Support for Youths:

  • Awareness Training: You will provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.

Support for Indigenous People:

  • Cultural Competency Training: You will provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.

Support for Visible Minorities:

  • Diversity and Cross-Cultural Training: You will provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
