Job Title: Dartmouth Bar Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced bar operations manager to join our team at Hearthstone Inn in Dartmouth. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our bar operations, ensuring a high level of service and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role and possess excellent leadership and communication skills. A secondary school graduation certificate is required, and a strong understanding of provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine the types of services to be offered and implement operational procedures to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Enforce liquor legislation and regulations, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies, securing the best possible deals for the business.
  • Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities, providing exceptional customer service and building strong relationships.
  • Participate in marketing plans and implementation, helping to drive sales and revenue growth.
  • Lead and instruct individuals, developing and implementing training programs to improve staff performance and productivity.
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that every guest has a positive experience at our bar.
  • Manage events, including weddings, parties, and other functions, coordinating logistics and ensuring seamless execution.

  • Work under pressure, managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all aspects of bar operations.
  • A combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with frequent standing and movement around the bar area.
  • Standing for extended periods, requiring stamina and endurance.

Estimated Salary:

$45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
