Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Production Associate to join our team at Aspire Bakeries. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient handling of baked products and packaging them in their respective containers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and Monitor Production Lines

Our Production Associate will be responsible for operating and monitoring high-speed continuous production lines, ensuring that products are aligned correctly on moving conveyors.

Quality and Safety

The successful candidate will be required to bring any quality or safety concerns to the attention of supervisory staff, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards.

Workplace Maintenance

Our Production Associate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment, ensuring that the workstation and floor are free from unwanted and hazardous materials throughout their shift and after.

Product Inspection

The successful candidate will be responsible for visually inspecting products throughout the production process, removing waste products from the assembly line, and ensuring that products are placed in the correct waste bins.

Adherence to GMPs and Health and Safety Rules

Our Production Associate will be required to adhere to Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMPs) and Health and Safety rules as outlined in the Employee Handbook, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as hearing protection, hair and beard nets, gloves, and white jackets.

Good Manufacturing Practices

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that GMPs and safe food handling practices are followed at all times, including maintaining personal hygiene and washing/sanitizing hands.

Other Duties

Our Production Associate may be required to perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Education

The successful candidate will have completed a minimum of Grade 12 education or equivalent, with basic math skills.

Communication Skills

Our Production Associate will have good understanding and application of English oral and written communication skills.

Availability

The successful candidate will be available to work rotating continental shifts.

Teamwork

Our Production Associate will be able to work with minimum supervision in a diverse team environment.
