Job Summary

CHANDTRANSPORT LTD is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across various locations, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of professionalism in customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
  • Load and unload goods, ensuring safety and security of cargo.
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle.
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment.
  • Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes.
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns, and provide excellent customer service.
  • Coach colleagues on new methods or work techniques, and maintain a positive work environment.
Requirements
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks).
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

You will be required to work in various locations, including different provinces and territories, and may be required to work extended hours, including nights and weekends.
