Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Tank Labourer to join our team in Edmonton, Alberta. As a Tank Labourer, you will be responsible for working with tradesmen to complete tasks safely, accurately, and on time. You will participate in daily toolboxes and safety meetings, use various tools and equipment under supervision, and perform general work with steel, civil work, and operate equipment under supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with tradesmen to complete tasks safely, accurately, and on time
  • Participate in daily toolboxes and safety meetings
  • Use various tools and equipment under supervision (grinders, hydraulic jacks, etc.)
  • General work with steel (grinding, oxy-acet use, etc.)
  • Civil work involving framing and concrete pouring/finishing
  • Operate equipment under supervision (telehandler, skid-steer, AWP, etc.)
  • Be part of the rescue team in case of emergencies
  • Act as a Confined Space Attendant
  • Assembly of tank components under supervision
  • Drive a company vehicle (if approved)
  • Safely operate powered equipment (compressors, generators, etc.) under supervision
  • Pick up tools and equipment from suppliers or rental shops off-site

Requirements

  • Punctual attendance is a requirement
  • Strong Communication skills; must be fluent in speaking/writing English
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug & Alcohol Test
  • Comply with all safety requirements
  • Must provide proof of completion of all required safety certifications
  • Bring a positive, 'can-do', 'safety first' attitude every day
  • Participate with the team to build and maintain a productive and safe work environment

  • H2S Alive or Awareness
  • Confined Space Entry and Monitor or Rescue
  • CSTS 2020
  • WHMIS 2015
  • Standard First Aid
  • Class 5 Driver's License
