Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Kitchen Operations Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in a similar role and possess excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies: Ensure timely ordering and inventory management to maintain efficient kitchen operations.
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods: Maintain high-quality food preparation and presentation standards.
  • Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef: Collaborate with our culinary team to provide customized meal options.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas: Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food: Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff knowledge and skills.
  • Order supplies and equipment: Manage inventory and procurement processes to maintain efficient kitchen operations.
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment: Accurately track and manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overstocking.
  • Clean kitchen and work areas: Ensure a clean and safe working environment.
  • Organize buffets and banquets: Coordinate logistics and setup for large events and functions.
  • Manage kitchen operations: Oversee daily kitchen activities and make adjustments as needed to ensure smooth operations.
