Data Analyst II Job Description

We are partnering with a client to hire a Data Analyst II for their Data Enablement team for a special project (approximately 4 months).

This team is responsible for creating scalable semantic models that democratize data access and understanding across the organization. They collaborate with product and engineering leaders, owning the data lifecycle from strategy and prototyping to implementation, executive dashboards, and product-level self-service support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Combine clickstream data with product telemetry to identify gaps and overlaps
  • Develop reusable data models in Snowflake, Tableau, or both to enable ongoing analysis
  • Educate and enlighten data stakeholders with newly available objects and models that will unlock product and business insights
  • Deliver executive dashboards and product insights based on foundational productionalized data models
  • Partner with other Business Data Analysts to create composite measures and insights that span the product unit
  • Ensure that data privacy and governance is a top priority at all stages of the data lifecycle
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in data management, data engineering, data analytics, product management, or a similar background
  • ~3+ years of hands-on experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, PowerBI, etc)
  • ~2+ years of SQL experience
  • ~ Ability to communicate findings to a wide range of audiences both technical and non-technical alike
  • ~ Third-party web analytics tools (Heap, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, etc)
  • ~ Cloud-based data warehouse technologies (Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, etc)
  • ~ Data engineering (Python, dbt, Kafka, Parquet, Fivetran, Hightouch, etc)
