Job Title: Framer-Carpenter

HI-TECH CONCRETE SOLUTIONS is seeking a skilled Framer-Carpenter to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for framing and constructing buildings, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Framing and Construction: Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools, and measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
  • Preparation and Installation: Prepare tenders and quotations, build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Finishing Touches: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware, and survey building locations and levels.
  • Team Leadership: Instruct apprentices and maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments.
Requirements:
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year.
  • Certifications: Personal protective equipment (PPE) training, First Aid Certificate, and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.

  • Work Conditions: At heights, confined spaces, noisy, outdoors.
