About the Position:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Facilities Operations Specialist to join our team at the University of Toronto Mississauga. This is a full-time position working Sunday to Thursday, 11:00PM to 7:30AM.

Job Summary:

The Facilities Operations Specialist will be responsible for providing cleaning and custodial services, as well as assisting in other maintenance duties. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, physical ability to perform duties described, and flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

This role involves a wide range of tasks including cleaning and dusting furniture, floors, hallways, stairways, and ledges; reconditioning floors as required; regularly cleaning washrooms, collecting litter from floors and waste/compost from receptacles; cleaning carpets as required; removing spots/stains from surfaces as required; washing windows and walls; moving and resetting furniture when necessary; making beds for residence guests in residence operations; replenishing supplies as required; changing light bulbs and cleaning fixtures as required; clearing exterior entrance ways of buildings of debris and garbage; assisting in snow removal when necessary; and performing other related duties as required.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have completion of tenth grade or equivalent combination of education and experience. One year of related work experience is desirable. You must also have the physical ability to perform duties described and the ability to communicate effectively in English (oral and written).

Compensation:

The estimated salary for this position is $25.50 per hour. We offer a competitive pay scale group and hiring zone, ensuring that you will be fairly compensated for your skills and experience.
