About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Underwriter to join our Regional Property team. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will be responsible for assessing, accepting, and declining new business submissions, as well as re-underwriting and negotiating renewals and policy endorsements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and make informed decisions on new business submissions
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with brokers and other stakeholders
  • Provide technical support and guidance to less experienced team members
  • Participate in production calls and meetings to drive business results
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to ensure the highest level of underwriting expertise
Requirements
  • University degree or equivalent experience in a related field
  • 3-5 years of commercial insurance underwriting experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
