We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst Demand Planner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining 24 months rolling forecasts utilizing forecasting systems;
  • Owning shipment forecasts at SKU level by customer;
  • Achieving forecast accuracy, MAPE, and BIAS KPIs;
  • Leading monthly forecasting meetings and preparing supporting content;
  • Establishing collaborative relationships with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Planning & Customer Service;
  • Performing statistical analysis using shipment, consumption, and other sources of data;
  • Working closely with Marketing and Sales to devise, prepare, and establish new product forecasts;
  • Assisting in preparing cannibalization assumptions;
  • Providing system support around forecasting setup, maintenance, and general product hierarchy;
  • Using sales and customer insights and data to inform the forecast;
  • Helping define, prepare, and publish key metrics reports to others within the department and across other departments;
  • Managing process improvement projects.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3-5 years of experience in CPG environment within demand planning, logistics, production planning, supply chain processes, or inventory management;
  • Prior experience in forecasting and demand planning in fast-moving consumer packaged goods environment an asset;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Management Science, Mathematics, or Statistics is an asset;
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to identify patterns in Promoted Product Groups (PPG) by Customer by Brand;
  • Prior experience with forecast software such as John Galt (Atlas) and/or Great Plains would be an asset;
  • Prior experience supporting IBP monthly process an asset;
  • Experience in developing and implementing processes and structure with respect to sales forecasting and production planning;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to collaborate and build strong relationships with cross-functional business partners;
  • Strong understanding of the CPG industry, innovation, route to market logistics, sales, and brand marketing planning and developing building blocks;
  • Highly effective written and verbal communications skills, comfortable presenting to senior leadership;
  • Outstanding communication and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to work independently in a cross-functional environment;
  • Proactive and able to continuously manage change in an extremely fast-paced, energetic work environment;
  • Advance use of MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, Word).
