Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, knowledgeable, and professional Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at Lawtons in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our pharmacy team.
Key Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions, receive and release prescription requests, and record deliveries
- Receive in-person and telephone refill requests and assist with data entry
- Understand and promote pharmacy programs, including prescription assembly and data entry
- Filing prescriptions, ordering, and replenishing supplies, and cleaning
- Drug order creation and receiving, compounding, and pill pack assembly
- Scheduling professional clinical services and assisting the pharmacist with dispensary tasks as permitted by scope
- Behind the counter management, cycle counts, narcotic counts, stock returns, tall man lettering, manual third parties
Requirements
- Preferred: Pharmacy Assistant Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institute
- Previous pharmacy experience is an asset
- Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards
