CyberClan is seeking a highly skilled Digital Forensics Specialist to join our team of experts in solving complex cyber security challenges. As a key member of our Global Incident Response Team, you will be responsible for providing initial analysis and identification of Indicators of Compromise (IOCs), escalating to the appropriate business units, and conducting post-incident activities.
Key Responsibilities- Incident Response: Be the focal incident response point for all within the organization, providing initial analysis and identification of IOCs, and escalating to the appropriate business units.
- Advanced Troubleshooting: Support a wide number of technologies and perform advanced troubleshooting on the fly, including packet captures, debugs, and traffic analysis.
- CERT and Machine Investigation Lifecycles: Work on the continued development of CERT and Machine investigation lifecycles to enhance IR capabilities, and provide significant contribution to the revision of Incident Response and Post Breach Remediation policies, procedures, and process.
- Incident Response Methods and Guidelines: Develop and document Incident Response methods and guidelines for the organization, and develop a detailed Incident Response run book of tools, techniques, and forensic methods for personnel to utilize during investigations.
- Live-Endpoint Investigation: Perform live-endpoint investigation, including the identification and gathering of key forensic artifacts, offline investigation as needed, and providing remediation actions as needed.
- Incident Response Focused Ticketing System: Implement and deploy an Incident Response focused ticketing system to improve incident tracking, remediation, and metrics for incidents worked.
- Third-Party Collaboration: Work with 3rd parties to assist with incident response, business email compromise, security breach, improve overall security, investigations, recommendations, and remediation.
- Security Metrics Reporting: Report security metrics related to the Incident Response team.
- Mentoring and Training: Provide mentoring to team members on incident response techniques and methodologies, and assist Sales and SOC in the successful conversion from incident response, PBR, RMS, eDiscovery to SOC, including process and procedure build out.
- High-Level Technical Reports: Develop and provide high-level technical reports in response to clients, and develop and provide high-level business unit specific KPIs to senior management.
- Service Delivery Team: Serve as a member of a 24x7/365 service delivery team that handles incident response, post breach remediation, escalation, required to perform complex investigations and/or troubleshooting and driving root cause to resolution.
- Bilingual: Ability to communicate in English and French.
- Experience: Minimum 4-6 years of experience in Incident Response.
- Conducting Table Top Exercises: Experience in conducting Table Top Exercises in Incident Response.
- EDR Technology: Experience in the deployment and management of EDR Technology.
- Security Technologies and NIST Framework: Experience with Security Technologies and NIST Framework.
- Developing and Documenting Incident Response Methods: Developing, documenting, and implementing incident response methods, process.
- Live Endpoint Investigations: Perform live endpoint investigations.
- Forensic Investigations: Experience in forensic investigations both on-premise and cloud.
- Mentoring and Training: Experience in mentoring, developing, and delivering in-house training.
- Availability: Must be available to provide coverage to meet business requirements in 3 regions.
- DFIR Tools: Strong knowledge of DFIR Tools.
- Virtualization Technologies: Strong knowledge of Virtualization Technologies, Operating Systems, Firewalls, VPNs, SIEM, Enterprise Gateway Technologies, Networking Devices, Security Technologies, etc.
- Penetration Testing: Knowledge on how to conduct a Penetration Test.
- Time Zone: Available to work PST timezone hours.
- Job Type: Full-Time/Exempt.
- Location: 100% Telecommuting. Candidate must have legal authorization to work in Canada.
