Job Description:
The Technical Writer will play a crucial role in creating, maintaining, and updating documentation related to engineering, project, and construction delivery processes and procedures. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong writing skills and a solid understanding of engineering concepts and practices.

This is a one-year contract with the possibility of extension. The role will be based in Mississauga, ON.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop comprehensive documentation for engineering processes and procedures
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to gather information and ensure accuracy
  • Create user manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and other technical documents
  • Maintain and update existing documentation to reflect changes in processes and procedures, adhering to a robust change management process
  • Review and edit content created by other team members for accuracy and consistency

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Technical or a related field
  • Advanced degree in a related field
  • Experience in the Nuclear industry
  • Familiarity with engineering software and tools
  • Certification in technical writing or related disciplines
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in a business environment
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical writing, preferably in an engineering project execution environment
