About Our Commercial Pricing Department
We are seeking an experienced Actuarial Specialist to join our commercial pricing department. As a key member of the team, you will have the opportunity to develop and apply advanced actuarial and commercial insurance product knowledge to drive business results.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Develop and analyze data for profitability analysis, deep dive analysis, and other diverse applications using spreadsheets, databases, and statistical software;
- Communicate actuarial concepts and make recommendations to stakeholders through effective verbal and written communication with supporting documentation;
- Produce various data exhibits and analyses relating to measuring, tracking, and monitoring company and industry performance;
- Independently respond to routine requests from internal and external stakeholders related to standard reports and processes with validation from senior leaders;
- Take full ownership of large-size projects and lead and mentor analysts or Co-ops.
About You
- You hold a university degree in a quantitative field such as Actuarial Sciences, Mathematics, or Statistics;
- You have completed a minimum of 6 CAS exams, with ACAS or FCAS being an asset;
- You possess 6 to 10 years of P&C actuarial experience, with personal or commercial pricing experience being an asset;
- You have strong programming skills in SAS, Python, R, Excel VBA, or any other programming language;
- You excel in Excel, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint, and demonstrate strong data analytic skills and a passion for learning new knowledge and skills;
- You are an excellent communicator and organizer, able to perform well in a busy operation and remain calm under pressure;
- You are a team player who is adaptable to a changing and fast-paced environment.
