Job Summary

This role involves delivering exceptional customer experiences while performing day-to-day tasks including installation of Internet, Optik TV, Home Phone, and Smart Home Security & Automation. You will troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve service issues, educate customers on exciting bundles, and provide outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities:
  • Dispatch from home to customer locations using specific online applications.
  • Reach out to customers prior to arrival, providing ETA.
  • Install and troubleshoot Internet, Optik TV, Home Phone, and Smart Home Security & Automation.
  • Install and diagnose cabling including, fibre, twisted pair, cat/5, coaxial.
  • Acknowledge current customer services and find new sale opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of Telus supplied equipment.
  • Stay up to date with new products, equipment, pricing, and everchanging technologies.
  • Evaluate reliability of all customer services using online test tools.
  • Deliver a '5 Star' customer experience on every visit.
  • Follow all applicable Health & Safety regulations.
  • Present yourself in a polite and professional manner to gain the respect and trust from every Telus customer.
Requirements:
  • Minimum Grade 12 education.
  • Experience with low voltage cabling is an asset (twisted pair, coaxial, fiber optics).
  • Familiarity with everyday hand tools, ladders, cordless drills, and computer hardware/software.
  • Strong customer service background and sales abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Valid Class 5 BC driver's license.
  • Physically capable of carrying and maneuvering a 60lbs extension ladder, climbing ladders multiple times a day, and lifting heavy objects.
  • Positive, solutions-based attitude with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Availability to work 1 weekend and 1 evening shift per week.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check.
  • Self-motivated and highly organized to manage workloads with minimal direction.
  • Comfortable with computers, able to handle various Windows-based applications.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in changing weather conditions.
  • Technically inclined and have a desire to learn.
  • Able to provide or acquire steel toe boots, basic hand tools, and cordless tools.
  • Prior experience in telecommunications and/or working in the field independently is an asset.

Salary: $80,000-$120,000 per year
