Job Summary

The successful candidate will operate a commercial vehicle, transporting goods and materials across the country in a safe and timely manner.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and adjust routes to minimize fuel consumption and reduce carbon emissions
  • Provide excellent customer service while interacting with clients and colleagues
  • Drive a variety of trucks, including lighter and special purpose vehicles
  • Load and unload cargo from trailers and containers
  • Inspect vehicles regularly to ensure they are in good working condition
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs as needed
  • Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to maintain a high level of vehicle maintenance
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent mechanical issues
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and other teams to relay important information
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate required
  • Less than 7 months of experience preferred
