Cleaner Job Description

Gibbs Building Maintenance Ltd is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. As a Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our clients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning and Sanitizing: Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture, disinfect operating rooms and other areas, clean and disinfect elevators, and handle and report lost and found items.
  • Light Housekeeping and Cleaning Duties: Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, wash windows, walls and ceilings.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition, offers on-the-job training tailored to youth.
  • Support for Indigenous People and Visible Minorities: Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers, applies hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities.
