Job Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in our Interdisciplinary Team, working under the direction of the Registered Nurse (RN) and Team Leader to deliver direct nursing care to residents. This position requires a high level of communication, teamwork, and adaptability.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents, following established protocols and procedures.
- Collaborate with the RN and Clinical Leader to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, and colleagues to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain current knowledge and skills.
Requirements
- Current registration with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing.
- Recognized Pharmacology course and experience in medication administration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work a 24-hour shift rotation and adapt to changing circumstances.

Rotation and Salary
Days/Evenings/Nights: All Shift Hours. In accordance with the Collective Agreement between Ocean View Manor and Ocean View Manor Local of the Nova Scotia Nurse's Union.
