The HART program at Interior Health is a pioneering initiative that provides mobile critical care services to patients in rural areas. The team's mission is to deliver advanced life support and critical care management to patients in need, working closely with local clinicians to stabilize and transport patients to higher levels of care.
As a Critical Care Nurse on the HART team, you will be part of a dynamic and collaborative environment, working alongside a Critical Care RN and Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive care to patients. You will be supported by Basic Life Support paramedics and an on-call transport physician, and will have the opportunity to work in a team environment to make a real difference in the lives of patients.
This is a casual opportunity, which means you will have the flexibility to self-schedule your shifts and work at times that suit you. As a casual employee, you will be eligible to apply for internal postings, including permanent and temporary positions, and may have the opportunity to transition to regular employment.
Shifts will be scheduled days and nights, rotating between 07:00 and 19:05, and 19:00 and 07:05 hours. The hourly wage for this position is $41.42 to $55.91, effective April 1, 2024.
About this unit:
The HART team covers Central and South Okanagan, providing critical care services to patients in outlying facilities and transporting them to tertiary hospitals as quickly and safely as possible. This is a critical role that requires a high level of skill and expertise, and we are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Critical Care Nurse to join our team.
