Grill Cook

We are seeking a skilled Grill Cook to join our team at Compass Canada. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality food to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation: Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers, and other kitchen equipment.
- Menu Execution: Use established ticket-collection procedures during service to ensure accurate and timely food delivery.
- Food Safety: Comply with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen rules, policies, and procedures to maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
- Inventory Management: Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to ensure a smooth service period.
- Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized work station area, including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, sauté burners, convection oven, flat top range, and refrigeration equipment.
- Experience: Two years of working experience as a grill cook or in kitchen preparation and cooking.
- Certification: FoodSafe Level 1 Certification.
- Communication: Ability to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen, and dining room personnel.
- Physical Demands: Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours) and perform physical tasks associated with food preparation and service.
