Halifax Regional Municipality is seeking a temporary, full-time License Support Representative to join our Community Safety team.
About the Role:This position is responsible for providing quality customer service to internal and external clients, processing and tracking licenses and license applications, and performing administrative duties such as scheduling testing and inspections, database management, and report preparation.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide exceptional customer service to clients, including vehicle for hire license holders, dog owners, business owners, and the general public.
- Process and track licenses and license applications, including taxi, temporary and directional signs, vending and sidewalk café, dog, and others.
- Schedule testing and inspections, and perform administrative duties such as database management and report preparation.
- Respond to service requests for license and permit applications related to License Standards.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues and provide information.
- Grade 12 education or equivalent.
- One year Business or Administration certificate.
- Minimum two years customer service experience.
- Minimum one year administrative experience.
- Minimum one year database management experience.
This is a temporary, full-time position with a maximum term of three years. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm, with 35 hours per week. Flex program agreement is possible.
Salary:NSGEU Local 222, Level 5, $29.40 per hour.
Location:7 Mellor Avenue, Dartmouth.
