Job Description

We are currently looking for a skilled Artisan Painter to join our team at VK Construction. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, cleaning, and sanding surfaces to be painted, repairing cracks and holes, and mixing paint to desired colour and texture. Additionally, the candidate will measure, cut, and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls, advise consumers on colours and choice of wall coverings, and erect scaffolding and swing stages and attach rigging. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and ability to distinguish between colours. They will also be physically demanding and required to bend, crouch, and kneel. Our team is looking for someone with a client-focused approach, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, initiative, and reliability.

This is a physically demanding role that requires the candidate to work on-site, with no option to work remotely. The work involves working at heights, using scaffolding and swing stages, and being exposed to various weather conditions. The successful candidate will be required to estimate costs and materials, and work efficiently to complete tasks on time.
