**Job Description:**

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Payroll and Benefits Specialist. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will play a crucial role in supporting the company's overall strategy by providing expert payroll and benefits advice.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Administer payroll for employees, including unionized and non-unionized staff
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including hours worked, vacation time, and other entitlements
  • Evaluate and apply wage increases, benefits changes, and deductions in accordance with collective agreements and company policies
  • Ensure compliance with federal and provincial payroll legislation, including tax regulations and legal requirements

**Qualifications:**

  • Certification in Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) or Certified Payroll Manager (CPM)
  • Minimum three years of experience working within a Canadian payroll system
  • Knowledge of federal and provincial payroll regulations, including tax laws and legislative requirements
  • Experience working with collective agreements and negotiations
